This Privacy Policy explains how the app AI Notes: Record & Summarize ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your information.

1. Information you provide

  • Audio recordings and imported audio files.
  • Transcripts, summaries, flashcards and notes created from them.
  • Questions you ask about a recording.

2. How your recordings are processed

To create a transcript, the audio you record or import is sent over an encrypted connection to our speech-to-text provider, AssemblyAI (privacy policy). While you record, audio may also be streamed to it to show a live transcript preview. To create summaries, flashcards and answers, the transcript text is sent to our AI language-model provider (OpenAI, privacy policy). This data is used only to produce the result you asked for and is not used by us to train AI models. Providers keep it only as long as needed to return the result plus any short period required for security and abuse prevention.

3. Where your notes are stored

Your recordings, transcripts and notes are stored only on your device. We do not keep a copy on our own servers and there is no cloud account. You can delete any note in the App, or everything at once in Settings → Delete all notes and recordings. Deleting the App also removes its data. Files you export or share are handled by the app you share them to.

4. Microphone

The App asks for microphone access only so you can record, and records only after you tap Record (it can keep recording with the screen locked until you stop). Always get permission from the people you record and follow the laws where you live.

5. Advertising (free version)

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, which may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, device information and ad-interaction data to show, limit and measure ads, and (only with your consent where required) to personalize them. Your recordings, transcripts and notes are never shared with advertisers. In the EEA, UK and US states with privacy laws, Google's consent form is shown before any ad; on iOS the system tracking prompt is shown and you may refuse. You can change your ad choices in Settings → Ad privacy choices. AI Notes Pro has no ads. See the Google Privacy Policy.

6. Purchases

AI Notes Pro is an auto-renewing subscription handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never receive your payment details. Manage or cancel it in your store account settings.

7. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with the service providers above, only as described, or when required by law.

8. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. Your notes are on your device, so you can delete them directly. For other requests, email appsmedia888@gmail.com.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Changes are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
